Can i copy and paste the workspace folder to a thumbdrive to act as a back up?

I am new to Mcreator but i have experience with creation kits from Skyrim. When I would make mods with the creation kit every so often elements of my mod would disappear which resulted in my having to find a new backup. To make modding easier I would start breaking mods into modules and then after working on a module at the end of the work period I would make a save and then make a copy for Google Drive, a thumb drive, Windows Desktop, and when a module was completed I would upload it to the website where I intend to publish it. For skyrim mods, I would use Nexus. I was figuring I would do a similar thing with mods I made with Minecraft.  I am curious if I can simply copy the workspace folder and upload it to multiple locations so that way I have backups in case Mcreator has hiccups. Usually, game engines will have them and it can be annoying to have to go through a bunch of backup files hoping one of them will work.
