Custom biomes are tiny (like small patches)

so i made a new biome called humid savanna. it spawns next to savannas, which is good, but the problem is that it would always be a tiny spot inside of a savanna, instead of an actual biome that spawns next to savannas. it would just be like a small area inside of a savanna. pls help me fix this, any help is appreciated
