I’m not sure how to formulate the question correctly, but I’m sure you’ve all seen in various games such a feature in the models of creatures and objects, like a scarf that stretches smoothly behind the object, repeating the trajectory of its movement.
Usually this is one simple setting in the model editor that allows you to make the bone "dangle", most often this is applied to long hair, character clothing and all sorts of other decorative elements hanging on the model.
I'm not sure if this is possible in Minecraft, but in this video at 2:44 you can see how the Triceratops makes a sharp turn, at this time his tail does not turn with him, as part of the model, but aligns smoothly, with a slight delay and even a "skid".
I sincerely doubt that the tail is a separate entity, so I'm waiting for the opinion of knowledgeable modders.
A more specific example is the neck and tail of an ender dragon. How is this done?
