Blockbench changed model type but texture isn't working
Fri, 01/10/2025 - 19:11 (edited)

I made a model on Blockbench of a Guardian in BotW to use for a mod as an entity. But when I tried to export it, I realized it was a generic model, not a Modded Entity model type, which won't work. I converted it using File > Convert Model and made it a Modded Entity, but then the texture didn't copy over. It looks like the UV overlay isn't the same so it won't match up with the texture I made anymore, so it looks really off... Nothing matches up and as an example parts of the leg textures are on the face, plus some of the blocks don't even match with the pixels, like some are half on it... I don't want to have to redo the whole thing, so is there a way to change the UV overlay?

I have the original one as Generic and the Entity one saved right now. In case those are needed.

Picture of both models!

I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer.

You need to retexture it, as…

You need to retexture it, as far as I can tell. This is a BlockBench issue, and not MCreator.

But to be real with you, look around BlockBench documentation, and see if you can convert the texture UV properly.
