Budding Amethyst Clusters not aligning correctly

So I'm making a mod that allows ores to be renewable via budding amethyst-like blocks, I created my first one, being diamond. And for whatever reason, the Amethyst Clusters don't align properly at all, no matter the rotation. I am not sure as to why that's the case. I remember watching a tutorial that is up to date. But the amethyst generates weirdly, north, east, south, and west all generate upwards, when the procedure sets the rotation to up, the amethyst cluster faces south, and when the procedure sets the rotation of the amethyst cluster down, it instead faces north
