give kill credit for potion effect

I have made an enchant that gives you a potion effect that deals damage, however, the "On Effect Active Tick" procedure does not accept "sourceentity" (says it's missing dependencies), how do I make it so the damage credit (and kill credit) is given to the entity that applied the effect ? this would not be such a problem if the entity dropped xp but rn it doesn't
