How do I make a mob that I can ride?

How do I make a mob that I can ride? I have a mob, and I want to be able to put a saddle on it after taming it, and control it, and when the player controls it, I want the mob to climb blocks. How to do it? I have a texture with a saddle. Show me, if anything, the procedure that needs to be done.
