I'm currently on version 2024.2, and I have an item that can both be enchanted AND be left in the crafting grid after crafting (while being damaged). However, I've found some pretty annoying issues when playtesting.
Mainly, after being crafted in a recipe, it removes all enchants and most other NBT on the item (such as whether it is Unbreakable or not).
Also, pretty much every single durability-related activity in MCreator ignores the Unbreakable NBT tag or the Unbreaking enchantment.
To note also, when the "damage item instead of crafting" option is turned off, it not ONLY removes enchantments/NBT, but it ALSO resets the durability of the item to full.
