Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
I am currently making an block named sapphire ore, and there is a thing in advanced properties, and I have no clue what it means, do I just leave it at ten? Or do I set it to 0? Please help!

Tick Rate is used to gradual blocks. Basically it helps with telling what the block will do depending on the amount of ticks set (if you want that).

Say you have a plant you have. You know how wheat grows? The block changes until it's at that point it can be harvested. That is something ticks rate is used for.
