custom fireworks and elytra textures

So ive been working on a mcreator mod and i came across a few hiccups. Im trying to make a minecraft firework that propels you faster than the original firework and instead of it consuming a firework i want it to take one durability on use. 

my second idea is just i want to create crafting recipes for different elytra textures. Like is there a way to create a mod element that is already an item in game so you can edit it? Thank you!
