Workspace got lost [RESOLVED]
Sun, 06/16/2019 - 16:58 (edited)

Ok, so, I was modding on my giant 500+ elements mod when suddenly the computer crashed. After that, Mcreator got stuck at loading workspace data, and won't load anymore. I tried deleting every single folder in the Mcreator folder, and it started when I deleted forge (reinstalling the components etc). Then I noticed a thing: MY WORKSPACE GOT DELETED(I can say I was expecting that, but now comes the bad part). I noticed some files called backup, and they were created the day Mcreator crashed (i'm using Mcreator 1.8.3, so autobackup is on), so maybe I could have restored everything(the location was forge/.Mcreator/MCreatorbackups). I tried loading one of them but IT'S NOT A .MCR FILE!!! WHAT CAN I DO???? EVERY .MCR FILE IN THE USER/WORKSPACE FOLDER WAS REPLACED BY MY NEW BLANK WORKSPACE, AND MY LATEST BACKUP IS WHEN MY MOD WAS ONLY 100 ELEMENTS BIG, I DON'T WANT TO REDO EVERYTHING!!!

Ps: I made a backup of the Forge folder, maybe I can restore something from that?

Ps2: sorry for all caps but i'm in panic

Ok no wait, I figured how to solve this by deleting the workspace.mcreator file in forge folder and replacing it with the backup (mcreator.mcreator.backup_etc…) with all my 493 elements. Phew… Hope this post will be helpful to others to solve their problems
