Problem with my sky dimension

Hello, i'm currently making a huge mod that is all about this new dimension. But the biggest problem is that i can't make the dimension because the portal won't spawn on the floating island. Also, i wan't this island to be with grass,dirt,stone and ores, not just one block. Does someone know the solution for this??
