Damage in a certain direction

I wanted to make a procedure which gives damage to mobs in my face direction, but I don't know how I get the face direction of the player. The damage itself is supposed to be applied to all mobs within certain box in front of me, so basically no dmg behind me

its in 1.15.2 btw
