When I place a block it only places it on top of the looking block, how would I make it so it places on the side as well and bottom

When I place a block it only places it on top of the looking block, how would I make it so it places on the side as well and bottom
I'm not fully certain I understand what you mean, but I'm guessing you mean block rotation. There's a setting in Visual under "Render type and rotation" that modifies how the block rotates. Here you can set it to rotate from the player side, as well as rotate like a log.
