Help with taming entities
Sat, 08/01/2020 - 23:52 (edited)

Uhh I just updated to 2020.4 and I feel really dumb for asking this, but how can you make tameable mobs?

I've looked in the living entity settings and checked procedures, but I just can't find a way to make a mob tamed, how is a mob supposed to be tamed?

EDIT: Nevermind I'm just really dumb

In the AI and Goals section, there is a checkbox that says Can tame. You also have to check the animal type box as well. You put in the item you want to tame the entity with in the selection box and then go into the Animal tasks tab where you'll find the hurt entities that the owner attacked, hurt entities that attacked the owner, and follow owner with speed factor 1 (etc) if tamed. Put all of those in the AI task list for that mob and you'll have a tameable entity.

Not sure how to make them sit but you could do a right click procedure with a boolean variable (true/false) to replicate a sitting state using a super high slowness effect but it won't actually look like they're sitting.
