Topic category: Help with modding (Java Edition)
Full disclosure, this would be my first foray into Minecraft modding. I want to make a mod or resource pack where upon a sound triggering (like a Villager making a grunt), the sound effect that plays is randomly picked from a group of sound effects that I've provided with the mod. I've looked into replacing sound effects already, but I can only find resources for replacing existing sounds like "idle2.ogg" with a single replacement instead of several random possibilities. Does anyone have any idea of how I could accomplish this, if it's even possible at all?
