Cactus damage with sound

(Sorry for my English)
I am trying with the procedure, to make the player when stepping on the "cactus" block receives damage and a sound is played. but I don't know why when the player touches the block the sound is repeated 100 times per second. I want to make when the player touches the block they only take damage and the sound is played only once.
(I have no idea of procedures)
