Need help with my first "real" mod

Need help with my first "real" mod

Hello everyone, I suppose some of you knows about the mod called Witchery or its successor named Bewitchment? Well I really love Bewitchment and even more Witchery because of all the content it adds. Anyway, I want to make a similar mods heavily inspired from these two, but with my own twist that could make the difference. I use Forge 1.12.2 and will NOT go over that for the sole reason that all the mods I use are for this specific version. 

Basically I want to make a magic/ritual/demonology mod that includes witches (Duh! Either mod the vanilla witches or make new ones called Coven wiches or simply make classes of witches based on the vanilla one.) It will also include witch hunters that I intend to call Inquisitors.

But I need help, even if I have the basic modding on MCreator (like making block textures and biomes) I still need help with making mobs and "events" or whatever you call them.

Here's A (not) very small list of things I want in my mod so those who are willing to virtually help me in the making can have a preview of what I really need help with.

(might add things over time)

PS: This small bean of a character (*) means it is something I (really) need to implement it and need some help on how to.

Anyway here's the list:

 

---MOBS---

Witches* (I might want to make different Grades or Classes like "Novice, Apprentice, Adept"  or "Alchemist Witch, Demonologist Witch, Newblood Witch)

Witch Hunters* (same as the witches, might add Grades or classes)

Demons* (some passive, some neutral and others hostile)

---ITEMS---

Some armors (don't really need help with this, for now)

Weapons (same as above)

---BLOCKS---

Altars* (Still don't know how the hell i'll do a functioning altar)

Statues* (like baphomet or saints, though I know how to make blocks I'm not sure how to make a placeable item like the statues in Bewitchement)

---INTERACTION---

Spells* (Will really need help with this, if there's pre-requisite like java coding I'll get into it with all the help I can have)

Chalks* (since this is HEAVILY inspired from Bewitchement and Witchery, I really liked the "writing this one the floor with a chalk" feature and would like to integrate it too, but don't know how)

Pacts (kinda like radiant quests like in the Bountiful mod but instead you get a pact from one of the statues with an altar or whatever and you do what is required to get some kind of item. STILL THINKING IF I WANT TO IMPLEMENT IT)

Factions* (I'm thinking of a way to either be a witch or a inquisitor by wearing their specific armor/clothings, but as soon as you remove them completely they attack you after noticing.)

 

For now these  are the things I would want most of them are Important to the making of the mod, besides pacts...
Those with this (*) besides their name are the ones I need help the most.
The list will get edited after finishing what I needed for the category.

 

Now this is a lot you probably think to yourself, I know, I know, but I still want to do it.

Those who can help with with at least one thing (might it be armors, mobs or spells) I'll take any help I can.

I've tried making the mobs with Blockbench and then MCReator but when I open the game its just a Humanoid-shaped (like steve or alex) but deformed by the textures of the mob so I believe i'm missing something.
