How to make sure that the structure does not destroy adjacent blocks?

Hello everyone!
I want to make my staff spawn a structure when the right mouse button is pressed - a magical wall that permeates after a while. I know how to make the wall work, but I don’t know how to make sure that when the wall (structure) spawns, it does not destroy other blocks, for example, if I create this wall in a cave, then it will not destroy adjacent blocks of stone. Please tell me how to do this, if it is of course possible. Thanks in advance to everyone who answers!
