How to store vanilla NBT data to a variable in 1.12.2 generator?

I want to get a specific vanilla NBT value of a block in 1.12.2, and store it to a variable, but I can't find a way.
Is there any way to get the vanilla NBT data of a block in the 1.12 generator?
