How do I make Custom Pets Stay When Right Clicked?

I don't care about changing models when the pet sits, and I already figured out how to check if it has already been right clicked, I just want to figure out how to make the pet stop following and not teleport to you. Thank you in advance, and sorry if this is a dumb question.

Maybe you can make a variable that remembers its position and continuously teleports it there?
