(It is really difficult to explain this idea. Please help me word it better so I can re-upload it if needed.)
Think of using Lapis Lazuli for using an Enchanting Table or a Banner Pattern for a Loom, or Paper for a Cartography Table- you get the point.
We should be able to allow custom items to be used as a sort of activation for other tables.
As we're able to make certain items used as fuel, try to make something that will allow items to replace activation items (Lapis Lazuli, Banner Pattern...)
It'd be nice to make custom items used to enchant things or making new banner patterns. This could allow for custom enchantments, modified maps or even completely different item functions.
(Again, please tell me how to word this better if needed.)
What I'm saying is, we can try to replace Lapis Lazuli for a custom item, say a Sapphire, to be able to be used in an Enchanting Table, like fuel in Furnaces. Hopefully that makes more sense.
