Food item only giving potion effects in creative.

Hello, as the title suggests I am having a problem where my food items won't give me any potion effect when eatting them in survival. The potion effect will work when I consume them in creative but not survivial.

MC Version: 1.16.5
Mcreator Version: 2021.2

might not be the case but did you give the potion effect by commands or with the procedure block to give effects?
