When I go to load a world with my mod, it tells me, "This mod uses experimental settings, and we cannot guarantee this world will work," and it asks me if I want to create a backup and load. This isn't very important because it hasn't crashed yet, but my mod is still in early stages of being made, so I am just a little worried it might crash when my mod is worked on more. I want to know if this is normal or if anyone else has had this happen to them. I do not want to release my mod if it will just crash everyone's world.
Its only a formality from Minecraft because you are loading a world with and "old" version of your mod, that is like changing version. Don't worry
