I need my new block to know when it is naturally generated, but not placed by a player. is this possible?

I need my new block to know when it is naturally generated, but not placed by a player. is this possible?
You sould make it so it drops a different item so when they place it Its different than the block that naturaly spawn you can also make it not effected by silk touch
