How to Import my Mod into Minecraft Java?

I need help with putting my mod into action. I’ve done everything that the tutorial video in the tutorial playlist told me, but when I go to the mods tab in Minecraft on the main menu, it’s not there. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Can I get help?
