...Weird. Are you running anything else in the background? Also, do you have Minecraft Java edition installed on your computer?
Just the antivirus, vanguard, steam and the wallpaperengine are running on my computer, and yes, I have minecraft java edition on my pc. The most interesting thing is that 2 days ago this function worked perfectly for me.
I honestly don't know- I guess restart the computer if you haven't already. You could also try backing up your workspaces and reinstalling Mcreator if it still isn't working.
I stopped the antivirus, reinstalled the mcreator, and still nothing, so idk xd
