How do I close player gui of block that's state has changed to another block?

I've looked through all the procedures, and tried all sorts of combinations, only way I found would work would be placing nether portal, but Id rather not as it would break the immersion of the gameplay. I also cant find a single thread anywhere near related to what I'm trying to figure out.

I have a block that is like a custom furnace I have 2 states, on and off.

I made it so the on state you cant open the gui from right click, but when I'm in the off state gui the gui doesn't close when the block state changes to on.

Anytime I add the close gui of entity/player procedure it gives me errors.

I'm at a loss, if anyone has idea, Id appreciate it.
