How can I make a fire-proof block?

I am making a material better than Netherite that includes blocks to build with. A problem I have encountered is lava and fire. In the "lore" the material is fire-proof but I haven't been able to make a block fire-proof. Can anyone help me? What I mean by fire-proof is making the item version of the block fire-proof.
