How to teleport an entity 1 block closer to the player each 77 ticks

The title says it all, I'm working on an SCP mod and i need this for my 096's rage state.

It would probably need some advanced ai stuff so you could as a makeshift solution and give it a swaping slowness debuff and speed buff switching back and forward when it sees the player.
