Topic category: Help with modding (Java Edition)
I've played minecraft on and off for years but one of my biggest annoyances is the amount of time needed to mine for rarer things in vanilla. Obviously this is part of the point of its rarity but I wanted to make something you could use to speed up the process.
My vision is 2 blocks high with the top block being a full solid block and the bottom block space resembling a drill head. You would place it down on a block and if fueled and activated would consistently (based on block strength) break blocks below it one at a time falling onto each block below it after breaking it. As well as a fuel resource GUI window it would have an interactable inventory where the blocks it breaks would be stored for later collection.
Where would I start on making something like this? Also how would I change it to work horizontally if I want? Allowing it to "crawl" horizontally breaking blocks.
