Is there a way to add certain enchantments to items/ armor after eating a food item?

I am working on a mod that makes better/more food, one of these being hot sauce, now since hot sauce is kinda... hot, id like it to add fire aspect/flame respectively to certain items for a short period of time, ive tried it out but sadly it only gives the remaning botle fire aspect and not my sword/bow/crossbow, does anybody have any ideas on a fix for this?
