I'm not sure how possible this would be, but it's slightly annoying that Mcreator drops support for older versions after a new one is released. I had a thought, what if each Mcreator version had no specific MC version come with it, and you'd download the version of MC that you want to modify.
TLDR, don't drop support, just make the versions modular
There is no limit to how many versions can be loaded into mcreator at once. The limit is the amount of time and effort the team can spend into maintaining the generators' code.
Versions we officially support and fix are downloaded with MCreator, others can be found on https://mcreator.net/plugins with plugins (modular system)
