My mod is “not found” when I try to use it.

I made a very simple mod and I am trying to test it. However when I export it in my desktop for example, it does not show up. And when I find it in my home or something and try to move it into my mods folder or anywhere at all, it says that the item is not found and is not longer located at its destination. It also says to verify of its location and try again. I have tried exporting many times but they all did that. I’m new to this software and I’m wondering how to fix this so I can actually test my mod.
