Why do other websites have MCreator with generators for 1.7.10 and 1.12.2, but the official website does not?

I have noticed for quite some time now that some third-party websites have versions of MCreator with generators for 1.7.10 and 1.12.2. Can they be trusted, and why doesn't the MCreator team host versions of MCreator for older versions of Minecraft on their website?

Can they be trusted

No. Those websites are first of all illegal as distribution of those files is not allowed by their license (imposed by us, Pylo)

We only offer official downloads for the versions since MCreator was open-sourced
