I think it would help to…

I think it would help to have an overall direction of what you are trying to accomplish with your mod. Your mod is called "Cool Features" are you wanting to add more to vanilla minecraft without adding new items, blocks, ores, tools, etc? Or are you wanting to add things that are not already in game? Or a little of both?

With a name like "Cool Features" you could really go any way, since it doesn't really give away anything about the nature of the mod. I would personally add things like, alternative ways to obtain in game items, such as gunpowder? Maybe you can make a nitrate and sulfer ore. These two, when combined with charcoal crafts gunpowder? Maybe add a new biome with some features not yet found in the base game? Like new types of decorative rock or maybe a new biome-specific ore, like emerald? If this is the first mod you've made with MCreator, I suggest playing around with the software a bit to find out how things work more, its really easy to use, but if you find out how things work you could really make a unique and popular mod. To answer your original question a bit more simply, I'll just list off some things I think would be cool for a mod.

  • New fruit tree
  • New alloy-type metal (mix two ores to get a stronger one, like bronze or steel)
  • New biome
  • New Achievements - even using in-game items only for these would be pretty fun.

I hope this helps out a bit! :)

Heres ChatGPT 4's Answer:

If you're looking to enhance your mod called "Cool Features," here are some ideas you can consider adding:

  1. New Gameplay Mechanics: Introduce unique gameplay mechanics that offer a fresh and exciting experience for players. This could include abilities, skills, or interactions that are not present in the base game.
  2. Expanded Crafting System: Create new crafting recipes and items that allow players to create powerful equipment or customize their in-game environment. Consider adding rare or exotic materials that require exploration or special quests to acquire.
  3. Additional Quests and Storylines: Develop new quests and storylines that expand the lore and narrative of the game. This could involve creating new characters, locations, and branching paths that offer players different choices and outcomes.
  4. Unique Abilities and Powers: Introduce special abilities or powers that players can acquire and use during gameplay. These abilities can be thematic, such as elemental powers or telekinesis, and can be upgraded or unlocked through progression.
  5. Customizable Player Housing: Implement a system that allows players to customize their in-game homes or bases. Provide a wide range of furniture, decorations, and functional items that players can acquire and place within their personalized spaces.
  6. Mini-games and Challenges: Add entertaining mini-games or challenges that provide a break from the main gameplay. These can include puzzles, races, or even casino-style games, offering rewards or special items upon completion.
  7. New Environments and Biomes: Introduce diverse and visually stunning environments to explore. Consider adding unique biomes with distinct flora, fauna, and weather effects, providing players with fresh exploration opportunities.
  8. Improved AI and NPC Interactions: Enhance the AI of non-player characters (NPCs) to create more realistic and immersive interactions. This can involve adding dialogue options, dynamic behaviors, or improved pathfinding for NPCs.
  9. Visual Enhancements: Include graphical enhancements, such as improved textures, lighting effects, or particle systems. These improvements can enhance the overall visual quality and create a more immersive experience for players.
  10. Mod Compatibility and Configurability: Ensure that your mod is compatible with other popular mods, allowing players to combine different features seamlessly. Additionally, consider providing configuration options within the mod to allow players to adjust settings according to their preferences.

Remember to consider the capabilities and limitations of the game engine you are modding, as well as the target audience and overall vision for your mod.
