Hey there! I'm new here so I don't quite know where this question should go or how I go about this. There is a mod for version 1.16.5 that I REALLY want to update to 1.19.2 so I can add it to my own personal modpack. I have the github source code files and stuff in a zip and in it's regular folder format. So my question is how (if at all possible) would I go about updating this mod to 1.19.2? I read a different post on this forum about updating mods and it seems like it should work but I keep getting the ZIP is not a valid MCreator file. Is there any possible way to do this? If so I would be greatly appreciated and it would make my day immensely better.
Note: This mod has since been abandoned since it's last 1.16.5 release. I do NOT plan on releasing any public version of it as it would feel very wrong to do it, as I have no modding experience and I feel it would be a genuine disservice to the original creator.
Secondary Note: I just read another forum post here: https://mcreator.net/forum/93078/how-do-i-import-mod-i-did-not-create-and-update-it-different-version-game
Which does answer a question of mine, however the secondary question that this person asked was never actually answered and it would solve whether or not it is possible to do it.
