A nice little house showcasing all the bamboo blocks
Hey hey hey, ho ho ho, it is me, Kebbo. (Terrible opening, I know.) So, this mod is fairly simple, adding bamboo planks, stairs, slabs, fences, fence gates, and doors. However, other recipes with wood won't work, other with sticks. To justify this I'll just say that bamboo is too flimsy to make into tools, chests, crafting tables, ect. Because no one that I'm aware of has the time and work ethic to remake e v e r y s i n g l e w o o d r e c i p e. Also bamboo is somehow fireproof because I don't feel like turning every bamboo object into fuel. Anywho, to make a bamboo plank you just need nine... bamboos? Is that how you say it? Well, its a small mod, but I do hope you enjoy, and I do plan on eventually adding some normal recipes. Thanks, uwu

You don't need to make every single wood recipe, it is enough if you put bamboo planks into "planks" tag and all recipes should be working at once! Most wood-related mods use that solution, because believe me, noone want remaking all recipes XD
Aside from that - bamboo being fuel could be available, as 1) bamboo is a fuel currently, just extremely weak, 2) it would give bamboo more use, which vanilla lack currently
