Mod Introduction
This mod adds headphones based around the existing vanilla music discs, once a pair of headphones are crafted you will be able to listen to the music contained on them at any time, anywhere, just by putting them on your head.

Headphone Speakers
Headphone speakers are an item used to craft headphones, and can also be used to repair any damaged headphones using an anvil.

Their crafting recipe is shapeless, all you need to do is put a piece of redstone dust, an iron ingot, and a block of wool (of any colour) into a crafting table and it'll make two headphone speakers.

Basic Headphones
These look like your average pair of headphones, and are the base for other headphone styles.

Using 2 iron ingots, a block of wool (of any colour), and 2 headphone speakers, you are able to craft these headphones.

Cat Ear Headphone Clips
These are an item that can be combined with headphones to give them a cat themed look.

Using 1 iron ingots, 3 iron nuggets, and a piece of string, you are able to craft these cat ear headphone clips.

Cat Headphones
These headphones are cat themed versions of the basic headphones, working exactly the same but with a different look.

There are multiple crafting recipes for these, you can either craft them similarly to crafting basic headphones, or by combining them with existing headphones.
Example recipes shown below.

Adding Music to the Headphones

Once you have crafted a pair of headphones (either basic or cat themed), you can now get to the fun bit, adding the music. Combine any vanilla music disc and the headphones in a crafting table (or use a headphone kit, see 'headphone kit' section) to add the disc's music to that pair of headphones. Each disc gives the headphones a different skin that matches the colour scheme on the disc.

Headphone Stands

Headphones can naturally be displayed on an armour stand, however you can also choose to display them on their own headphone stand!

Stands can be crafted similarly to armour stands using a smooth stone slab and 4 sticks.

Headphone Kits

Headphone kits allow you to add and remove music from a pair of headphones as well as displaying them in the same way as the headphone stand. Although you can add music using a crafting table already, you cannot remove the music from headphones and that's where this block comes in, it will give you back the music disc and the base headphones!

Kits can be crafted by combining a headphone stand with a jukebox.

Notes

I have compressed the music (most notably discs 11 and 13) to decrease the file size, if you believe the music to be too compressed then let me know and I'll upload a version with higher quality audio. The reason the mod includes sound files that already exist in the game (the music disc) is that I needed stereo versions for this mod, and those are not in the game.

I actually am using this in a mod pack.
Its vanilla friendly in a way.
Also' A new advancement can be: "Iron heavy" Because there made of Whole iron ingots instead of the nuggets.
^^ I find this pretty funny. Also, A thing to add are iron rods that cost 3 nuggets to make. Instead of the ingots. This would save a bit of iron!

Thanks for making the great mod!

That's great to hear! I'm actually a huge fan of vanilla feeling mods, which is why I tried to make this more vanilla than say have an mp3 player. I'd actually thought of adding a new iron thing, mine was iron stick rather than rod lol, but thought it'd take away from the vanilla feel and wanted to keep it similar to the iron helmet recipe. I'll try and get an advancement like that worked into the 1.0 version. Thanks, and glad to be part of your mod pack :)

In all honesty I'm not too sure. There's obviously not too much left to finish, but with the few more things I want to add, I'm currently just deciding on the best ways to do them and if they're even necessary additions.
I'm also tempted to wait till I can release the 1.0v for 1.18 along side the 1.0v for 1.17, and I'm aware that it's possible to do right now with the snapshot version (and have tested that everything works fine turning this into a 1.18 mod using the snapshot), but I think with my luck I'd rather wait till 1.18 is supported outside a snapshot so I can be at ease that everything will work fine.

All I can really say is it's probably soon, and thanks for liking my mod so much! :)

What if you can select what music you play (including custom ones) ?
I think it can be a good idea !
