Hey! After a long time, welcome to another update of Placeables! This time, it's yet again one of the biggest updates ever in Placeables. Packed with new mechanics, remodels, bug fixes, and more!
This is the first part of update 2.0, which will feature new items and additional mechanics.
Update 1.9 primarily focuses on remodels, introduces some new mechanics, and includes quality of life fixes.
❇️ Remodels
- Remodeled every tool currently in Placeables. (Iron, Gold and Diamond)
- Tools have a brand new interaction system. (more on that later!)
- Remodeled Basket
- Remodeled Stick (4 different versions)
- Remodeled Bread
- Remodeled Apple
- Remodeled Golden Apple
- Remodeled Clock
- Remodeled Diamond
💎 New Mechanics
- New rotation mechanic (currently only on tools)
This mechanic allows you to rotate tools at a 22.5 degree angle.
Additionally, for certain tools, there are unique placement conditions.
⚒️ Changes
- The Water Bottle has been removed due to persistent bugs.
- Added a notification that displays upon creating a world with Placeables installed. (It will only appear once per world)
- Added hand swing when placing items.
- Placeables advancements now show 3D models instead of 2D textures.
- Removed villager sounds triggered when clicking on a block.
📜 Fabric port Info
For those waiting for the Fabric release, I have to inform you that version 1.9 will not be available on Fabric. Given the significant code changes planned for 2.0, I've decided to skip updating Fabric to 1.9 and instead focus on releasing the Fabric port for version 2.0.
