Help With Crop Tutorial using Mcreator 2023.4

I am needing help with a crop tutorial for Mcreator 2023.4, all of the tutorials I can find break because we can no longer test for block material types in 1.20.1.

If anyone has a tutorial or can help me, I'm wanting basically the ability to create a mod that has effectively a re-textured beetroot in how it works.
