Topic category: Help with MCreator software
So I've been working on a mod using MCreator 1.8.2 for a few days now, and I wanted to work on it some more because I got an idea. So I opened it up and I found that my second workspace (The one I was using because I was using the first one for a joke mod) was EMPTY.. I'm really upset because I put a good amount of effort into it, I'm not sure what to do because it's just gone and I have no idea how to recover it. If anyone knows a solution then please tell me because making the mod was one of the few things I enjoyed doing.

MCreator makes workspace backups in user/workspace so check if there are any backups of your workspace.
We are planning to further improve backups in 1.8.3: https://mcreator.net/tracker/issue/46720
Okay, but how do I load the backups? I can only import .mcr files
Rename the backup to have .mcr extension.
I did, and I imported it.. but there was still nothing there.
I am sorry to say this but this most likely means your workspace is gone :( Until we release next update that will have better backups, it is wise to have .mcr backups of your workspace made regularly.
:/ Okay, well thank you anyway for taking your time to respond to me. It being deleted I can now make a new mod that's better!

wait a sec, this is a new update. can you help me fix. There is no back up folder. the folder is gone!
What folder is gone? MCreator generally does not delete folders
