I'm just starting out with MCreator and I have some questions about using my (or anyone else's) mods with Minecraft.
1. What version of Forge do I need for 1.9.0? (I have 1.12.2~14.23.5.2838)
2. I created a mod and put the .zip file into the mods folder in .minecraft, but it's not showing up in my game. Is this because I don't have the right version of Forge, or am I missing a step?
3. Can I use MCreator mods on servers (specifically from aternos.com) and do all people on the server need said mods and Forge?
Sorry for the lot of questions, I couldn't find the information on the website.
- The recommended version as listed on files.minecraftforge.net
- You click Export workspace to JAR button (the most right button on the toolbar) and export it to JAR, not ZIP
- Yes, you can as long as it is not commercial use
