Help with stat system

Hi, Im very new to modding/mcreator and I was wondering if someone could help me with a stat system for a rpg like mod. The type of system I want to make is one the levels your stats as you play, instead of leveling up and putting stat points. Havent been able to find any good tutorials online for it wondering if anyone could help me
