I think it would be extremely useful to be able to edit the properties of the original Minecraft elements. I would also like to ask if there is a plugin that provides this feature?
This pretty much isn't possible with MCreator, and mods that do this are really advanced. You can, however, edit stuff like loot tables, which gives you a lot of customization.
Oh, and you can also do anything that's possible with a Vanilla resource pack.
With global triggers and procedures, many modifications are possible.
Changing some elements would introduce mod incompatibility and should not be done by design, even if it was supported.
