Ranged Items are an extremely weak and bare-bones system compared to actual vanilla bows, crossbows, or throwable items, but that's been said more than enough times to not be worth duplicating here. I would simply like to call to attention how few options there are for procedure activation via ranged items, something I didn't fully realize until I attempted to trigger something when a ranged item is crafted and was unable to. I think a full ranged item overhaul making it so you can actually realistically use ranged items for a mod would be an excellent thing, if a bit of a tall order, for a future update; as it stands, they exist in a technically usable but extraordinarily bare-bones state.
