Could somebody tell me how to make a grayscale leaves texture so i can make a oak hedge like block.

Turns out it's not that easy.. It says you need a grayscale texture, but that doesn't mean "just use gray colors".. I think (this is a guess, not confirmed) you have to use an exact palette of grays for minecraft to identify it as the specific type of grayscale for it to re-color for tints.

I used a grayscale lapis block texture, and it didn't get tinted, but the debris chunks from breaking the block DID.. So.. Still trying to figure that one out..

I FOUND THE FIX.

I don't know why this makes it work, but here's the trick.. It CAN be any grayscale color, but the tint won't apply if you use a normal block model.

On the "visual" section, the option for "Block Model", switch it to "Single Texture", and bam! That makes it work!
