how do you give a custom entity a custom animation in mcreator

Disclaimer: I know you'll say follow a tutorial, I have read through countless tutorials and videos and none of them work. I am using the latest version of Blockbench and Mcreator and I use a 1.15.2 workspace. I have tried loads of ways and none of them work. How do I make an animated custom entity? (if you needed to know, I use windows 10)
