Custom fences will not only refuse connecting with other fences, but also themselves. They will connect to blocks, though. How can this be fixed?

Custom fences will not only refuse connecting with other fences, but also themselves. They will connect to blocks, though. How can this be fixed?
You need to add Tag "minecraft:wooden_fences" to custom fences for them working with vanilla ones.
