Is there no way to draw the frames while in the animation maker? I don't know if I have to import the frames from elsewhere, or if I must use the regular embedded image maker to make the frames if I don't want to import frames. I'm aware I can select specific frames and zoom in on them, but I not sure if I can do much else.
Thank you in advance if you can help.
I've found that it helps to use another program like Aseprite, Photoshop, or Paint.NET and export an animation strip or GIF for import.
NorthWestTrees has a good tutorial about doing this in Paint.NET (which is free, I think).
Thank you for the help, I now understand the animation editor and how to make an animated texture.
